Please note, the Recreation and Culture and Facility Bookings Offices at the Mt. Boucherie Recreation Complex, at 2760 Cameron Road, will reopen by 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 6.

Bylaw Compliance and Enforcement
If your matter is urgent, please call West Kelowna RCMP’s non-emergency line at 250-768-2880.

Winter Roads Maintenance
- To make a service request for a City of West Kelowna street, contact our roads contractor AEL at 1-866-353-3136. Service excludes Highways 97 and 97C, Westside Road and William R. Bennett Bridge.
- For maintenance of Highways 97 and 97C and Westside Road, and streets in Westbank First Nation and the Central Okanagan West Electoral Area, call AIM Roads at 1-866-222-4204.
- For maintenance of William R Bennett Bridge (40 meters north of the Abbott Street intersection and 187 meters south of the bridge), contact Protrans at 1-888-769-2925.
- Please help out our road crews by remembering to park off-street when it snows and up to 48 hours after it stops snowing to ensure plows can clear your street efficiently and safely. Please don't shovel snow back onto the road. Please also be a good neighbour and clear the sidewalks around your home. When clearing your driveway, please shovel snow to the left as you face your home so plows leave a smaller windrow along driveway frontages.
- Roads are cleared on a priority basis. For more information, including an interactive map of our winter maintenance roads priorities, please go to westkelownacity.ca/snow.
Drainage, Sewers and Water
In the event of drainage, sewer and water emergencies, including sewer backups and water main breaks, please call 778-797-1000, dial option 1.
Garbage, Recycling and Yard Waste
This year, garbage, recycling, and yard waste will not be collected on Christmas Day, Wednesday, Dec. 25, or New Year’s Day, Wednesday, Jan. 1. Between Dec. 25 and Jan. 6, curbside pick-up will move ahead one day for everyone; for example, residents who normally have collection on Wednesday, should put their carts out on Thursday, and residents with a Thursday collection day should put their carts out on Friday, and Friday on Saturday. Monday and Tuesday collections remain the same; see the calendar below, visit rdco.com/recycle or download the Recycle Coach app, to determine your curbside collection schedule. The curbside collection schedule returns to normal on Monday, Jan. 6.
Reminder: yard waste collection for 2024 ends on Tuesday, Dec. 31. The Westside Residential Waste and Recycling Centre on Asquith Road is closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. It is otherwise open Friday through Monday 7:30 a.m. to 3:50 p.m. Find all waste management information, including Christmas tree drop-off locations, and where to take various recyclables at rdco.com/recycle.
Learn more about proper cart placement during/after heavy snowfalls, and what to do if winter weather causes pick-up delays over the holidays at www.rdco.com.
